Carters Lake
Carters Lake, the deepest of Georgia’s reservoir lakes, is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in both Gilmer and Murray County. It was named after Farrish Carter who lived in the 19th century. It has a surface area of 3,200 acres and has 62 miles of shoreline. NOTE: Waterfront on Carters Lake (disclaimer – most properties around Carters Lake may overlook but not touch the water because it mostly owned the core of engineers.
Lake Nottely
Lake Nottely is one of many reservoirs of the Tennessee Valley Authority. It is located entirely in Union County, Georgia in the United States. Formed in 1942 by the damming of the Nottely River, Nottely Reservoir extends 20 miles upstream to the town of Blairsville.
Lake Blue Ridge
Blue Ridge Lake is a reservoir in Fannin County, in the northern portion of the U.S. state of Georgia. The reservoir encompasses 3,300-acre of water, and a “full summer pool” of approximately 1,686 feet above mean sea level. It is managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority and is primarily fed by the Toccoa River.

The Toccoa River and Ocoee River are the names in use for a single 93-mile-long river that flows northwestward through the southern Appalachian Mountains of the southeastern United States. It is a tributary of the Hiwassee River, which it joins in Polk County, Tennessee, near the town of Benton.
Coosawattee River
The Coosawattee River is a 49.3-mile-long river located in the northwest part of the U.S. state of Georgia. The river begins at the confluence of the Ellijay River and Cartecay River in the city of Ellijay in Gilmer County. The river flows west through the foothills of the north Georgia mountains.

Fightingtown Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is a tributary to the Ocoee River. Fightingtown is accurate preservation of its native Cherokee name, for near the site met warring tribal leaders.
